FAQ

Questions about ceramic detailing

The stuff folks actually ask before booking.

Yeah, real difference. Wax lasts a couple months. A sealant lasts three or four. A real ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat and holds up for years. The prep work is also a different league.

If you trade cars every couple years, the 1-year is fine. Daily driver you plan to keep — go 3-year. New truck or a car you're holding onto a long time — 5-year is the move.

Stops fine swirls from regular washing, no question. It won't stop a rock chip on I-35 or a shopping cart hit. For that you'd want a paint protection film, which is a different product.

Use a pH-neutral wash soap, skip drive-throughs that have spinning brushes, and bring it back once a year for a quick decontam wash. We send written aftercare with every coating.

Prep is the long part — wash, decon, light correction, panel-by-panel inspection. The coating itself goes on relatively fast, then it has to cure. Rushing any of that and the coating fails early.
